The 2.2 has a 5.71-inch notched display with HD+ (720p) resolution. Within the notch is a 5MP selfie camera with a 13MP main shooter around back. Nokia claims the camera can shoot great low-light shots thanks to HDR and selfies offer beautification features.
The phone brings Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) – which is comparable to the Snapdragon 425 but more efficient thanks to its 12nm process. There are 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of onboard storage, expandable via a microSD card.
There is no fingerprint scanner on the 2.2, but the handset does offer 2D face-unlock and even supports NFC for mobile payments and file sharing.
The Nokia 2.2 can now be ordered from Amazon and will ship on July 26. Best Buy is shipping the 2.2 now and will be selling the 2.2 in its physical “Big box” stores starting August 4.
